Christa Orum-Keller
Chairman
As Chairman of the Board, Christa Orum-Keller provides vision and strategic leadership for both Midwest Groundcovers and Midwest Trading. She plays a key role in guiding long-term investments that support innovation, sustainability, and the continued success of the companies.
Christa’s professional expertise spans native plants, conservation initiatives, and sustainable landscape practices. She is a Registered Landscape Architect and has held the ICN Pro designation. Her commitment to the green industry is reflected in her decades of involvement with key organizations and leadership roles in industry initiatives.
Christa is an active member of Vistage Worldwide and several prominent green industry associations. Her leadership and service include:
- Kane County Forest Preserve District Foundation: Board Member (2024 – present)
- Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA): Board Member (2009–2013), founding member of the Women’s Networking Group, and former Education Committee Chair.
- Illinois Green Industry Association (IGIA): Chair of the INA HOPE Apprenticeship Committee (2000–2002).
- Illinois Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (IL-ASLA): Strategic Planning Committee Member.
