St. Charles Winter Yard Policy

COVID-19 precautions following the closure of the Check-In Kiosk:

In order to ensure the continued well-being of all customers and staff at Midwest Groundcovers, the following policy will be put in place following the closing of the Check-In Kiosk:

1.  Upon arrival, call 847-742-2019 and ask for Sales. Spanish speakers are available.
2.  A sales associate will assist you with your order via phone while you remain in your vehicle.
3.  Credit Card payments will be made over the phone. Cash or Check payments will be processed by a sales associate while you remain in your vehicle.
4.  A sales associate will come out to your vehicle with your Order Copy and Loading Copy, and provide you with directions on where to proceed to.
5.  Give the Loading Copy to the loaders, and they will load your vehicle.


At Midwest Trading safety is our top priority. We have implemented various operational changes to ensure we are following CDC guidelines related to COVID-19. These measures include: 

Paperless Transactions:
In an effort to ensure the safety of our employees and yours, we are foregoing signatures on paperwork for pick-ups and deliveries. When your driver comes to the nursery, please ensure they have a copy of their order paperwork. We will be noting their name, date and time of pick-up on our copy. 

Wholesale Office is Open
Midwest Trading customers who are picking up from the Midwest Trading Yard should proceed to the wholesale office.
One of our staff members will come out to assist with your order while remaining at least 6’ away. 

We are committed to providing a clean and healthy environment. We are sanitizing vehicles, counters,  public areas frequently, and have provided all employees with masks.

Dear Valued Customers, 

As we work as a community to prepare for the impact of COVID-19, I wanted to share how Midwest Trading Horticultural Supplies, Inc. is addressing this ever-evolving situation. First and foremost, the health and safety of our employees, customers, suppliers, and vendors is of the utmost importance to us and we are actively complying with all CDC recommendations. 

We are currently taking orders and producing the materials you need to keep your business running. Our sales team is available to take your orders, the offices in Maple Park and Ottawa are open, and our shipping services will continue uninterrupted. 

For the pick-up orders in St. Charles, the Check-in Kiosk has opened early for the season and is able to expedite orders without customers leaving their vehicles. The Wholesale Office in St. Charles will not be open to the public to encourage social distancing. Customers will instead be assisted at the Check-in Kiosk.

We are committed to keeping our team safe and healthy and will be sanitizing customer areas throughout the day. In return, we ask you do not send employees who exhibit symptoms of illness to our facilities.
